At Biomimicry 3.8, we believe there is no better design partner than nature. But biomimicry is more than just looking at the shape of a flower or dragonfly and becoming newly inspired; it’s a methodology that’s being used by some of the biggest companies and innovative universities in the world. In this engaging, multi-media immersion into the world of Biomimicry, you’ll gain a competitive edge and a fresh perspective on how the world around us can, does, and should work.

“I think the biggest innovations of the 21st century will be at the intersection of biology and technology. A new era is beginning.” – Steve Jobs
This year we launched an online introduction for anyone, no matter their discipline or background, to get started as a biomimetic. In this self-paced cruise through 3+ hours of fresh content, you’ll learn the basics to see all life – from mycelium to mountain ranges – as the genius design partner it is. Biomimicry 3.8 co-founder, Dr. Dayna Baumeister presents our design approach in great detail while keeping the experience highly engaging. We call it “bringing life back into your life” and it starts with a new lens. And when you finish, you will have a new way to connect to all that’s around you, including those of us in the biomimicry community.

A recent participant writes:
“I wanted to drop you a note to let you know how blown-away I am by the Introduction to Biomimicry foundational course. You’ve produced an amazing teaching tool that not only presents a TON of material, but does so in an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing fashion. As one who regularly strives to expand and develop my own internal encyclopedia, I found the course not only clear and concise, but a perfect tool for understanding the rudiments; something I try to do in every one of my endeavors so as not to lose sight of my feet.
I’ve even been sharing it with my 10 year old and he loves it — the next (and hopefully expanded) generation of mimics!”
