Position Title: Biomimic
Location: Missoula, Montana or Remote
Start Date: ASAP
FTE: Full-time; 40 hours; possible start at minimum 0.6 FTE

Biomimics at Biomimicry 3.8 work in a variety of capacities, including, but not limited to biomimicry-specific research, translation and communication of biological and biomimetic concepts, professional training in biomimicry, and project management requiring leadership, collaboration, agility, discovery, and creative thinking. This position interacts with every other position in the company and demands individual responsibility while recognizing interdependence.

Biomimic Duties (in order of importance for this position)

  • Project management
    • Direct multiple projects each year
    • Act as project manager/ISP contact on multiple projects
    • Manage project budgets, hours, staff
    • Direct fulfillment team on multiple projects
    • Set up project timeline, documents, staffing
    • Coordinate team members’ work
  • Direct client engagement
    • Create quality deliverables with accurate, inspiring content
    • Uphold and contribute to brand integrity
    • Follow through and complete tasks and deliverables within project deadlines
  • Indirect client engagement
    • Research, organization, synthesis, taxonomies
    • Develop scientifically accurate biological and biomimicry content
    • Create useful, meaningful, innovative design principles
  • Thought leadership
    • Develop new biomimicry brainstorming/innovation tools
    • Write, update, adapt research
    • Co-create core content

Compensation and Benefits:
