Interface Moving from Net Zero to Climate Positive by Rethinking Factories as Forests

Erin Meezan, VP and Chief Sustainability Officer at Interface, and Nicole Hagerman Miller, Managing Director of Biomimicry 3.8, introduced the Factory as a Forest methodology at Sustainable Brands 2018, offering the crowd “world-first” insight into how the company is using biomimicry to help make its factories move beyond zero footprint to actually provide benefits like healthy ecosystems do.

“20 years after envisioning becoming a sustainable company, we finally have the data to figure out how to really achieve that,” Meezan said. “This is about taking that next step towards positive and acting more like an ecosystem.”
